Thanks to our amazing supporters we raised an incredible £989.34 for college fees!
Thanks to this money John & Kevy were extremely excited to move in to St.Anthony's College to begin their course at the start of this week!
We were delighted that John's mother, pictured in the middle, joined us to help settle John in. Extreme poverty has seen John living on and off the streets for the past 5 years as his family have been unable to care for him; Today we got to see his mother moved to tears that her son has been given an opportunity that she has always dreamt of for him.
The money that you have helped us raise will truely change the lives of these two boys and their families and we cannot thank-you enough!!
Sadly for us, Sami, who was due to join Kevy and John, decided not to go ahead with the course. Unfortunately sometimes leaving behind the streets, their friends and everything that they know can be just as scary as the streets themselves. We will continue working with Sami & hope that we will be able to place him with something more suitable in the future.
